The Passion Returns for Christmas Crusade

Reported by Deborah - December 11, 2004

John Kasich was very upset that The Passion would be passed over at the Oscars making the case that this was more evidence that Christianity is under attack especially in Liberal Hollywood but this time the Hollywood Liberals were Jewish too. Are the Fox Crusades going too far?

Tom O'Neill, a movie awards expert, claimed that all the Jewish voters in Hollywood would never vote for The Passion. Kasich seemed very surprised saying that the Jews he talked to were not like that.
O'Neill added that at the screening for the Academy of Motion Pictures, there were "boos and cussing" from the audience. In seemed to be inferred that the audience was filled with Jewish Academy members.

Then Kasich turned the converstion to Michael Moore expressing concern that F9/11 could win while The Passion is ignored. Kasich was pretty worked up over that possibility. It was mentioned that Moore is campaigning to have his film considered eligible as best picture since it is not in the running as best documentary. However that has not happened yet. Kasich other guest Kirk Cameron, of The Way he Master, stated that Mel Gibson is "Looking for the applause of heaven, suggesting that the award is not important to him. It really serves Fox to pit Moore against Gibson during their Christmas Crusade.
