The Fight Fox Campaign

The website Alternet has launched a new "branch" to it's website, called Fight Fox. We News Hounds have given our support to Alternet's Fight Fox effort.
In December, 2003, Alternet, and its parent organization, the Independent Media Institute filed:
a Cancellation Petition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office asserting that the phrase "fair and balanced" is "notoriously misdescriptive" (i.e. not accurate at all) and that Fox should not be allowed to retain it as a trademark.
At the heart of our concerns about Fox News is its use of the extraordinarily misleading, entirely inaccurate slogan of "fair and balanced," thus our support for Alternet's campaign.
