Ain't it Great?

Reported by Melanie - December 1, 2004

Today (December 1, 2004) on both CNBC and at the end of The Fox Report with Shepard Smith (in the "And Then There's This" segment), I heard a report that "some say" the economy's doing just fine, thank you. The reason "some" know this is because the amount of trash we're throwing out remains high. Evidently, we as a nation throw out approximately 55 million tons of trash every three months. The amount is projected to reach 60 million tons per quarter next year.

I must say, I breathed a sign of relief when I heard this. Just think, the more trash we throw out, the better the economy! What a country.
