FOX May Be Only News Organization Surprised by Tom Ridge Resignation

Today's FOXNews.com story about the resignation of Tom Ridge calls it a "surprise development." Maybe for FOX, but according to The New York Times (free access with sign-in), Los Angeles Times, (free access with sign-in), and MSNBC, Mr. Ridge had made no secret of his desire to leave the post and, according to the NY Times, "his departure did not come as a surprise."
Comment: Why would FOX, cozier-up extraordinaire to the Bush Administration, not know or pretend to not know this news? My personal guess is that they were adopting the White House line. Otherwise, earth to FOX, earth to FOX, come in FOX!
