Grass Roots Effort to Nominate Dean for DNC Chairman
Reported by Marie Therese - November 17, 2004 -
Sen. Harry Reid has just announced that he wants Gov. Tom Vilsack of Iowa to be the next DNC Chairman. A break-away group within the Democratic Party is trying to get 1 million signatures to nominate Howard Dean for that position. They are sadly short at this point. If you believe that concession, collaboration and toadying up to the President's "new conservative agenda" is the way of the future, go read the next posting. If, on the other hand, you think the real reason Kerry lost was because he didn't come out, guns blazing, in August and wipe the floor with the Smear Boat Vets, then vote for Dean! Go to Petition Spot and cast your ballot. Even if Dean doesn't get the nomination, a large number of signatures will let the top brass at the DNC know that we - the guys that donated an awful lot of money to the Kerry campaign - are still active and committed.
