Linda Vester & George Bush Speak As One
Reported by Melanie - October 31, 2004 -
This afternoon (October 31, 2004) I was sitting on my couch, reading an article in the New York Times titled In Exulting Bush Throngs, Just a Little Bit of Anxiety, by Dean E. Murphy, when I almost fell over.
The author of the article went to several recent Bush rallies and reports that many Bush supporters are surprised and concerned that Bush isn't much, much farther ahead in the polls, and that he isn't "trouncing" Kerry. This short paragraph appears at the end of the article:
Karen Ciccone, who waved a Bush-Cheney sign at the rally in Manchester, said the blame also extended to Hollywood actors and musicians. Mr. Bush often derides them as being out of touch with American values.
This is a quote from Linda Vester (Dayside w/Linda Vester) from Friday, October 29, 2004, during an interview with Bush supporter and actor Stephen Baldwin:
"Ah, you have also heard that there are lots of other celebrities out on the campaign trail, on both sides, but the weight comes down more on the Democratic side, but then we've also heard from plenty of Americans who say 'what are these celebrities doing trying to tell us how to vote? They have totally different lives from us. They fly around in private planes and they don't live lives like we do. They live in a bubble.' What do you say?
COMMENT: Having never been to a Bush rally, I had no idea he and Linda Vester were saying exactly the same thing. Who says Fox News isn't a voice box for the Republican party?
