A man named Michael Berland was a guest today (October 26, 2004) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto. Berland's company recently conducted a survey associating Bush and Kerry with certain products.
Here's what Berland showed:
Bush is associated with McDonalds
Kerry is associated with Subway
Bush is associated with Folgers coffee
Kerry is associated with Starbucks
Bush is associated with Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn
Kerry is associated with the Ritz Carlton or Motel 6
Bush is associated with a Ford pickup truck
Kerry is associated with a BMW
Bush is associated with Business Week magazine
Kerry is associated with People magazine
COMMENT: Interestingly, when Berland got to the magazine category, Fox chose to show a cover of each. The cover of the Business Week read: "Restoring Trust in Corporate America." The cover of People showed a picture of Jessica Simpson. Great way to get a message across, huh?
