Will Fox News Air 50 Minutes of a Kerry Speech?

Reported by Melanie - October 18, 2004 -

At 1:22 p.m. ET today (October 18, 2004), during the Fox News program Dayside w/Linda Vester, Fox News went live to New Jersey to cover a speech being given by George Bush. At the opening of Dayside, Vester said Bush was about to give a "major speech on the war on terror."

Fox stayed with the speech, which was nothing more than a long version of Bush's everyday stump speech, and certainly not a "major speech on the war on terror," live and uninterrupted until after 2:00 p.m. ET.

Amended 5:54 p.m. ET

Playing follow the leader, and monkey see, monkey do, as the cable channels do all day long, CNN and MSNBC went live to the speech at approximately 1:32 p.m. ET, and each carried it to its conclusion.

COMMENT: Write to Fox News, CNN and MSNBC and tell then you expect they'll soon air 40 or 50 live, uninterrupted minutes of a Kerry campaign speech.
