Hannity's Relief

Karen Hughes led the opening cheer at 11PM ET as she did on the eve of the last debate in Florida. Her jubliant praise for Bush's performance was set off by a crowd of supporters behind her waving signs and chanting. Both Hannity and Hughes were giddy with relief that the debate wasn't a complete catastrophe. As they shared favorite moments of the debate, they seemed like baseball fans with renewed hope that, maybe, their losing team still had a chance to win the playoff. 10/8/04
