Carl Cameron Is Back and Acting As Debate Truth Squad For John Edwards
Reported by Ellen - October 6, 2004 -
Moments ago, Alan Colmes announced that Carl Cameron broke the news that one of Dick Cheney's big lines in last night's debate was untrue.
Speaking of Edwards' supposedly shoddy attendance record in the Senate, Cheney said "The first time I met you was when you walked on the stage tonight."
According to Colmes, Cameron found a photo of Cheney and Edwards standing together at a prayer breakfast in 2001.
What perfect timing for Campaign Carl to have found a scoop of this nature! He has been under fire lately for demonstrated bias for Bush and against Kerry despite the fact that he covers the Kerry campaign for FOX. We News Hounds called for his dismissal last week after Cameron posted a "joke" with phony, unflattering lines about John Kerry in a news report posted on FOXNews.com. Today, MoveOn.org launched a campaign asking people to call Roger Ailes, head of FOX News, at (212) 301-3000 and demand that Cameron be fired.
