Colmes Exposes Coulter

Ann Coulter plugged her new book How To Talk To A Liberal, If You Must on Hannity& Colmes but her self proclaimed expertise in this area didn't help her deal with Alan Colmes, who forced her to clearly define her beliefs to the viewers. It was a frightening spectacle. 10/04/04
Coulter was filled with the kind of irrational confidence that invariably causes people to make fools of themselves. Her first bit of advice about talking to liberals made no sense, as usual, but was ominous nevertheless.
"You must outrage the enemy.Republicans and Conservatives fought, conceding and we're not anti-semitic, conservatives are not anti-semitic."
Then she went on to say that liberals never want to defend America and wouldn't have wanted to fight World War II.
Colmes arrived with his first blow reminding Coulter that FDR was a liberal and he did start WWII. She fast talked some excuse that made her look more ridiculous about FDR being the last one.
When Coulter said that Republicans want to know facts and prefer logic, Colmes questioned her about the wrong fact that Bush gave in the debate about seeing the same intelligence as Kerry. Her reply, made her look like an ill informed smart mouth.
"Kerry was seeing the intelligence the French have."
Then she continued to dig her hole deeper when asked about invading other countries in the middle east.
" Democrats and Kerry can't be trusted. They will fight no war. They will fight no war ever. We don't have to after Iraq. They know we have a man with testosterone in office."
When Colmes confronted her with her infamous comment about " invading their countries, killing their leaders and converting them to Christianity" she replied,
" The ones we haven't killed yet. That would be a good start." Coulter went on to explain how the missionaries were brought into Korea and Japan after WWII.
"We haven't had any trouble with them for awhile."
comment: Colmes did a fine job revealing Coulter's irrational fanaticism and her indifference to accurate facts. Coulter's dismissal of everyone except American Christians was made clear and her bizarre mentions of anti semitism without context seemed to come from an undisciplined and twisted mental dynamic.The premise of her book emphasizes her meglomania . By reducing liberals to enemy status and then dehumanizing them, she is behaving in a classically sociopathic manner.
People have changed in this country since the Bill Clinton feeding frenzy.Coulter has not changed at all and doesn't understand the scope of the pain, anger and confusion felt by most Americans. Her time is over and that's a good sign.
