News Flash: Clinton Does Something Right on FOX!

Reported by Ellen - September 30, 2004 -

Is it that he eliminated the deficit and left office with a surplus? Reformed welfare? Lowered the crime rate? No, nothing like that. He criticized Kerry.

Appearing on Fox News Live with Alan Colmes, "Campaign Carl" Cameron discussed tonight's debates with Alan.

After statementgate (see previous post), Fox News Live with Alan Colmes played a clip of Kerry saying earlier today about the Republican mud-slinging: "Their advertising and their effort have been successful. I give them credit for it. But it doesn't reflect the truth."

"Campaign Carl" Cameron was on hand to discuss tonight's debates. He called that remark "a clever tool" but that it was "frankly appalling to this political reporter... If you can't run a campaign, how can you run the country? Kerry has been criticized relentlessly for his failure to respond to GOP critics by no less than Bill Clinton, if not the rest of his party. To say that the advertising against him has been successful and effective is basically an indictment of himself for not defending himself adequately during the year. On pure strategy, that is not a good sign for any would-be president."

So what criticism was given to Bush? None.
