Hannity & Hughes
Reported by Deborah - September 30, 2004 -
Hannity interviewed Karen Hughes following the debate and although their analysis of Bush's performance was all positive, there seemed to be a note of insecurity in Hannity's interview questions. 9/30/04 11PM ET
Hannity told Hughes that John Kerry seemed to settle confidently into a position on Iraq, finally, with only a few weeks left until the election. He then asked Hughes if she was concerned that Kerry's acting may come off as solid to the American people?
Hughes responded with," The people saw his heart is real."
Hughes went on to praise Bush for all his preparation adding that it was hard to learn all of Kerry's different positions.
Then Hannity asked as if looking for reassurance," You feel good about tonight?"
comment: Hannity and Hughes were unable to analyze the debate performance objectively. They seemed shaken and determined to spin the debate into a victory for Bush but that could only work for people who didn't watch it.
