Election disruptions practically a sure thing
Reported by Chrish - September 25, 2004 -
By the time (3:36 edt) Steve Centanni's report on terrorist threats came up on Studio B on 9/23, the viewer had already seen /heard at least two teasers about the possible attacks, including the tired ridiculous video of the three black-clad ninjaesque terrorists in the white room. (Ho-hum, another terrorist threat. Kerry must be doing pretty well.)
Reportedly the attack is being planned to coincide with the election period , or "days before the election". According to Steve Centanni's report, the "theory is that terrorists will try to influence the outcome of the election like they did successfully in Spain." There's no exact time or place for these possible terrorist attacks, but officials are being put on alert because of growing concern.
Comment: I hope all this fear-mongering and wolf-crying doesn't ultimately lead to greater catastrophe because the people of this country are immunized by the constant false alarms. If authorities have no specific info for the general public to act on, FOX should just shut up (~a nod to BOR.)
FOX continues to state as fact the unproven theory that the train bombings in Madrid on March 11 changed the outcome of that country's election. In the (heaven forbid) event of another attack in America, they imply, a vote against Bush would be exactly what the terrorists want. They don't acknowledge that another (heaven forbid) terrorist attack here would prove that the campaigner in chief has failed to secure the homeland and should be replaced.
