Fox on the Warpath

Dayside w/Linda Vester today (September 21, 2004) devoted 17 minutes to the CBS document mess which, on Fox, is now the CBS-Democrats-Kerry-campaign mess.
Major Garrett started out with a report on the matter which ran from 1:07 p.m. until 1:11 p.m. ET. Next, Carl Cameron, the Fox reporter assigned to cover the Kerry campaign, reported on it for the first two minutes of his report. As Cameron was introduced, the banner at the bottom of the screen read: "Kerry Campaign Mired in CBS Docu-Drama." Then, from 1:33 p.m. to 1:40 p.m. ET, Dennis Powell, a former CBS radio employee, talked about what might have gone wrong internally at CBS such that this could happen. And finally, during a segment with Ed Rogers, a Republican strategist and Rich Masters, a Democratic strategist, which was headlined as being about John Kerry's appearance last night on Letterman, four minutes were spent on it.
COMMENT: Fox is loving this story. They seem to be using it to try to destroy not only CBS, but John Kerry and Democrats too.
