What?

Henry Kissinger was on Your World w/Neil Cavuto today (September 2, 2004). The two of them had a strange exhange which quintessentially illustrates how information and points of view are kept from Fox viewers.
The majority of the disussion was about whether or not Americans would rally around, or reject, George Bush's presidency if there were an attack here before the election. They also discussed the Madrid bombings, the UN and the struggles there before the Iraq invasion.
Finally, Cavuto said: "let me ask you finally very quickly. There's a poll out in Germany, I think it's der Spiegel, that says 81% of Germans would prefer John Kerry over George Bush. What do you make of that?" Kissinger then took off on a non-answer, saying we don't have troops in a country because of "what preference they have for a country," and that we no longer need troops in Germany but rather in places where attacks are more likely to occur, "which are mostly radical Islamic situations." So, Kissinger continued, "this has nothing to do with our relationship to Germany and I'll bet you that after President Bush wins the election that the poll numbers in Germany about their their attitude toward the President will change dramatically."
COMMENT: Get it? 8l% of Germans would prefer John Kerry over George Bush and this crazy discussion is all Fox viewers hear about why that might be. Then they're told that it'll all go away after Bush is reelected. Incredible.
