Dean Scolds Blitzer
Reported by Deborah - August 29, 2004 -
Wolf Blitzer thought he was going to shame Howard Dean into an apology for his statement that the terror alert, after the Democratic Convention, was politically motivated. Blitzer got an unexpected surprise, when Dean turned the tables during Late Edition 1:25 PM CNN
Dean told Blitzer that he was more convinced now that the terror alert was politically motivated and then went on to say that the President's close association with Swift Boat operatives, broke the law. When Blitzer tried to implicate Kerry with Moveon.org, Dean was on top of it, clearly explaining the differences between the two. Blitzer was slightly miffed, at this point, by Dean's direct style.
Then Howard Dean turned the table on Blitzer, Scolding him and the media for not covering today's NYT article about Abu Ghraib and Rumsfeld.'Why aren't you guys covering it. You're not paying attention."
Blitzer was visibly shaken now, responding shamefully, "We do the best we can"
Thank You Dr. Dean!
