Wrong!

Reported by Melanie - August 27, 2004 -

Thursday (August 26, 2004), Bill O'Reilly (The O'Reilly Factor) and "Former Democratic Strategist" Patrick Caddell, dismissed the most pertinent issue in a discussion about a Kerry campaign ad featuring John McCain.

The ad featured John McCain confronting George Bush (during a February 15, 2000 campaign debate) over the Bush campaign's attacks on McCain's military service. In the end, those attacks were devastating to John McCain's campaign.

The Kerry campaign pulled the new ad yesterday after John McCain objected.

Caddell said the Kerry campaign pulled the ad because it wasn't "geared to the electorate," it didn't "have much to do with the election," and because McCain told Kerry he didn't appreciate it.

COMMENT: I beg to differ. The Kerry campaign pulled the ad out of deference to John McCain, yes. However, the ad has everything to do with the election as is so clearly stated in this analysis from the San Francisco Chronicle.
