What, no Swifties?

I can hardly believe I'm writing this, but not a word was spoken today (August 23, 2004) about the Swift Boaters on Your World w/Neil Cavuto.
I heard Chris Matthews say something yesterday about this and about Bush calling for a truce in the negative ad wars. Matthews said something like it's common campaign strategy to call for a stop to something after it has done its intended damage. One then looks benevolent, but the mission has been accomplished nonetheless. I guess that's what's going on here.
