Another Picky Thang

Reported by Melanie - August 20, 2004 -

Yes, this is another one of those picky things.

In my opinion, lots of little mistakes can add up over time to present a picture of the care and detail (or lack thereof) with which an organization "runs its ship." I believe a lack of attention to detail portends a lack of attention in other areas. I've written about this before; this adds to the list.

Today (August 20, 2004) on Dayside w/Linda Vester, Alisyn Camerota reported on a new radio ad campaign the Saudis have launched to try to repair their "tarnished reputation" here in the US. Early in the segment, an audio clip of one of the ads was aired. Fox prepared a written transcript of the segment, and it appeared on screen simultaneously as the radio ad played. At one point, the speaker in the ad said Saudi "nationals," whereas Fox's written transcript on screen read "natives." Picky I know, but still sloppy.
