Reported by Melanie - August 17, 2004 -

The first eight minutes of today's (August 17, 2004) Your World w/Neil Cavuto were taken up with a report from David Lee Miller and an interview with Christie Todd Whitman (former head of the EPA and former Governor of New Jersey) on the state of affairs in New Jersey given Governor McGreevey's announcement last week that he is gay and will resign in mid-November. Part of the discussion involved news that a "top donor" to Governor McGreevey would soon plead guilty to federal charges. At one point during the discussion, which was Democrat bashing at it's most refined (Democrats should "do the right thing" for the state and have McGreevey leave office now), Cavuto said that the federal charges the "top donor" might plead to "could be" conspiracy and "could be" engaging in prostitution, "but we simply don't know."

COMMENT: Fox is having so much fun with this story. They're using it to bash Democrats generally. Enough already though. Don't throw words like "conspiracy" and "prostitution" into the mix when you "simply don't know."
