A Surge in the Market or in Partisanship?

Reported by Melanie - August 16, 2004 -

Last Thursday, August 12, 2004, the Dow fell 123.73 points, the Nasdaq fell 29.93 points. That day, on Your World w/Neil Cavuto, the subject of the stock market wasn't brought up until the last few seconds of the show. See my post from that day: Not Much Business on this Business Show.

Today, August 16, 2004, the Dow rose 129.20 points and the Nasdaq rose 25.62 points. Today, the first words out of Neil Cavuto's mouth were: "We're gonna look at the big surge in the market today."

COMMENT: Just another tidbit (albeit a significant one) of an example pointing to how Fox News hides or minimizes news that could make George W. Bush look bad, but trumpets and accentuates that which could make him look good. (There are many other examples in the Cavuto & Your World category.)
