There's Always Time for Kerry's Competition
Reported by Ellen - August 14, 2004 -
Alan Colmes' guest Friday night, 8/13 for the second hour on his radio show was the vice presidential candidate for the Socialist party. Colmes did a good job with the interview and with finding interesting points for discussion with a candidate who admitted right at the beginning that she has no chance of winning the election. But I couldn't help but suspect that the real viability of this guest for Fox, Colmes' employer, is the opportunity to siphon votes away from Kerry. Was it a coincidence that Colmes announced before the interview some new poll numbers that are very favorable for Kerry? More importantly, will the more conservative minor candidates, such as Michael J. Badnarik of the Libertarian Party who might siphon votes from Bush, get equal time on other Fox shows such as O'Reilly or Hannity and Colmes?
