Colmes Gets The Last Word

Reported by Deborah - August 12, 2004 -

The Hannity&Colmes hour was an unobstructed voice for the Republicans last night until the last three minutes, when Alan Colmes restored some balance,
with the last story. 8/11/04 9:55 PM ET

At the end of each show, there is a feature, Cheap Shot of the Day.Usually we get to see a Democrat acting badly or a Democrat acting badly, who has been
treated unfairly. Like Whoopie Goldberg being fired by Slim Fast. Although, the firing was termed the"cheap shot", we got to hear all about Whoopy's bad behavior. Another instance was Linda Rondstat being thrown out of the Las Vegas club, for praising Michael Moore. The club was wrong to her out, according to Fox, even though she acted badly.

Last night, Colmes related a story of a woman wearing a NARAL shirt at a Bush campaign rally, who was thrown out by the Bush organizers. The woman was a
devoted Bush supporter, yet her shirt made her a threat . I had read about this and the security detail came up to her family and ripped the tickets from their hands , tearing them up, and agressively throwing them out. After relating the story and showing a shot of the shirt, Colmes held up a sign from the convention
HELP IS ON THE WAY.

Fox has given so much air time to Teresa Heinz Kerry's response to the chanting Bush supporters disrupting her speech. Well, at least. everyone is allowed to attend the Kerry rallies. Only heavily screened Bush supporters are permitted in to see Bush because he can't stand the slightest criticism. Also, why was a NARAL shirt considered subversive? What happened to the Republican diversity and openess, we have heard so much about. Can we expect the neocons to start attacking family planning along with free speech.
