The Empty Chair Debate

There was an unfair and unbalanced debate tonight, on Hannity&Colmes, between Duncan Hunt,R. and an empty chair. 8/11/04 9PM ET
Harold Ford Jr,D. was scheduled to appear but didn't make it into the studio for the broadcast. Throughout the segment, the camera returned to the empty chair to show the viewers that they were still waiting for Ford."This isn't the first time", Hannity said about Ford not showing up.
Hannity was a happy guy getting an opportunity to rip Kerry apart more freely with a Republican buddy. Hannity would blast Kerry, then ask Duncan Hunter to add some details, to let people know that Kerry was even worse than Hannity had indicated. Kerry flip flops; too liberal; not liberal enough for voters; weak on defense.
Colmes was a strong voice for the left, when he was given any time. Since the Democratic side was absent from the debate, more time should have been given to Colmes. However, that would be something a network with high journalistic standards might choose to do, and then there's Fox.
