Register Voters in Swing States

Reported by Marie Therese - July 31, 2004 -

Polls that say the country is "equally divided" are only partly correct.

"50 % of eligible people who usually vote" are split evenly between the two candidates.

However, that leaves another 50% of eligible voters that are either too turned off to vote or can't get away from work to vote or have never voted before. Two major voting blocks are being targeted by voter registration drives: Young people ages 18-24 and single women/single moms.

You can to this website and sign up for a voter registration car trip to a swing state.

You'll have a great time, meet some neat people, see a new city and be doing something worthwhile. What's not to like?
