I Could Hardly Believe This

Reported by Melanie - July 29, 2004 -

Jack Kemp appeared on Hannity & Colmes on Wednesday, July 28, 2004. At 9:46 p.m. ET Kemp, speaking about Kerry/Edwards, made the following statement: If they raise the taxes on capital gains, they're going to make it so a lotta people who are poor don't have an opportunity to rise up.

COMMENT: Poor people don't have extra money. They don't buy stocks. Poor people will never own enough stocks to pay capital gains taxes.

This being Fox, of course, Kemp's statement wasn't challenged by either Hannity or Colmes. Yet, what did the audience take away from this: Another reason to fear Kerry. Never let facts get in the way, just make the masses fear Kerry!
