Cavuto on Democrats: Everybody's "so nice." What?

Reported by Melanie - July 29, 2004 -

Neil Cavuto's "Common Sense" (or "analysis") segment today (July 29, 2004) on Your World w/Neil Cavuto was promoted by Cavuto at 4:54 p.m. ET this way: "The Democrats are being so nice," and Republicans "are promising to be nice too. I'm tired of it."

After a commercial break, Cavuto proceeded to deliver this "analysis" about swearing and cursing, and saying things behind people's back, saying "the Democrats too have been told to behave," but that both sides should say what they feel, that they should "have at it." Cavuto reminded us of Teresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" statement, and Cheney's "'F' yourself" statement. Everybody's so nice, "that's why these conventions are so dull," he said.

COMMENT: Now, was the point of this "analysis" to remind us for the 500th time about Teresa Heinz Kerry's "shove it" statement? Was the point to give Cavuto the opportunity to say he's sorry he spent the last four days (or, would that be years?) picking, and picking, and picking at every single negative comment made by Democrats about Republicans? I wish I had more time to post. Cavuto's been running an anti-Democrat show all week and I could make about eight posts out of each of his shows. It's like a giant ad for Republicans. Am I, as a viewer, to believe that Cavuto's personally opposed to what he's been doing all this time and that in reality he wanted more Republican bashing out of Democrats? Maybe that is it!
