Fox Men and Teresa
Reported by Eleanor - July 28, 2004 -
One especially nasty moment at the convention last night (July 27, 10:50) was when Fox's Chris Wallace said, "I never understood her (Teresa Kerry's) prominent spot - and still don't get it."
As the men proceeded to trash Teresa, with comments like "Don't cry for me Argentina," and "starring off into the distance while her husband is speaking." Hume even criticized her for acknowledging wise women in the world instead of American women. Kristol said she was "eccentric bordering on bizarre." Kondrache said she leaves the "impression of weirdness." These insults lasted about ten minutes. Hume ended by calling her an "unusual speaker," perhaps to soften the blow.
Comment: I had just watched Teresa's speech myself when I heard this, and I saw absolutely no reason for this scalding of the future First Lady of the United States, other than that very fact, or maybe it's because she's a female billionaire. Who knows?
