Credit Where Credit's Due

Reported by Melanie - July 28, 2004 -

At 1:12 p.m. ET today (July 28, 2004) on Dayside w/Linda Vester, Vester's guest was Kwame Kilpatrick, the Democratic mayor of Detroit. He was on to discuss the lack of black votes going to Bush in 2000, and why that was. He was allowed to speak, he wasn't interrupted at all, much less when he avoided taking Vester's bait. (Like when Vester tried to defend Bush by saying Bush did, after all, speak at the Urban League. We want action, not words, was the essence of Kilpatrick's reply.)

It was a thing to behold.
