Bush Bash Meter
Reported by Eleanor - July 28, 2004 -
For a few minutes this morning (July 29, 7:05 a.m.), I captured the following sound bites as our Fox Friends gave the "Bush Bash Meter a 5."
This exchange started with a video clip of Kennedy saying, "The only thing we have to fear is four more years of George Bush." (I believe this is the only time his name has been mentioned at the convention so far. That is a total mystery since he's the primary object of our collective wrath.)
E.D. - "I think there should be more of this." (She must not be awake yet.)
Doocy - "The loudest applause was for Dean."
Kilmeade - Mentioned Obama, who is running for the Senate seat in Illinois, as popular.
Doocy - Said Teresa had a "weird first 13 minutes. She talked about the "environment and new age stuff."
E.D. - "She's still too smart for me." (Still not awake or being catty, but it's a true statement.) Quoted better angels of our nature. "Doesn't make sense to me." (and never will)
Doocy - "The five languages threw me."
Kilmeade - "John Kerry is 2nd place news when she is front and center."
E.D. - "She giggled when they applauded." (Should she have frowned?)
Doocy - "Shove it. I don't know."
Comment: That's about it. I give the democratic bash meter - Uhh - about a 5 as well based on this, which is not as caustic as usual, but just as dumb. Do you believe there are actually "some people" who start their day with this kind of stuff to get the "news."
