Ann Coulter was scheduled to join Hannity&Colmes in Boston, but instead she paid a visit on screen to share her misfortune. Seems that she was hired by USA Today, to cover the convention but after seeing her first column, they fired her.
Coulter looked rather haggard and actually depressed while explaining that her column was about Al Gore and the paper thought it was over the top. Colmes comforting her, said it was very funny but Coulter said she was very disappointed.
Getting her second wind, Coulter and Hannity started their routine.
" It's the Reinvention Convention," Hannity declared complaining that it wasn't real.
"It's real because it is real for Democrats, to fake out the American public." Coulter replied but without her usual glee.
comment: Watching C-SPAN for three hours, I was amazed at the high energy at this convention. In past years, there was always alot of milling around and people seemed bored and edgy. This convention has a real party atmosphere and the tone is positive and very happy. The Republicans can't seem to handle this spirit and are frantic to shape the viewer's perceptions. Because the coverage has been so minimal, people will be manipulated.
