Gibson Slips Again and Tells the Truth

Reported by Marie Therese - July 24, 2004 -

Big Story with John Gibson. July 22, 2004. 5:07 PM EDT.

John Gibson made another little Freudian slip while asking a question of Sen. Kit Bond (R-Missouri):

GIBSON: Are we safer - are we safer today or has this war on terror made us more dangerous? What evidence do you have to answer that question?

BOND: We are safer....

COMMENT: The war on terror has definitely made the United States more dangerous. Ask the mothers of the 900 dead American soldiers. Ask the mothers of the 10,000 dead Iraqi civilians. Ask the thousands of Abu Graib prisoners, the "liberated" Afghani women working to harvest heroin for the war lords and the sodomized Iraqi children (Washington Times).

Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war.
And when you ask them,
"How much should we give?"
They only answer "More! More! More!"

It ain't me, it ain't me.
I ain't no military son.

It ain't me, it ain't me.
I ain't no fortunate one.

It ain't me, it ain't me.
I ain't no Fortunate Son.
