Weird Turn Around

Earlier this evening I posted a story about Linda Ronstadt's misadventures in Vegas. Well, tonight Laurie Dhue reported at 10:15 PM ET, that the owners of the Aladdin Hotel say that Linda Ronstadt can return as soon as the new owners take over. Dhue, of course, mentioned Ronstadt's support of "Anti Bush, Michael Moore" but generally it was a smiley news item announcing that all that nasty business is in the past and all is well with Ronstadt and Aladdin.7/21/04
I find this very strange after hearing Hannity and other Fox folk bashing Ronstadt. Usually, Fox ignores their victim after the message is delivered. So why the need to clarify the situation on air. Could it be pressure from a public who has a better understanding of Fox tactic? That would be great.
