Unfit for the job
Reported by Chrish - July 17, 2004 -
On Fox News Live/Studio B July 16, Shepard Smith was indignant on behalf of Hillary Clinton and the perceived "snub" she received from the DNC, which did not initially invite her to speak in Boston at the end of this month. 3:28 EDT
According to him there was a sudden uproar and tremendous outcry, and poof, she's given a spot introducing her husband. He questions Kerry campaign reporter Carl Cameron as to how and why this "snub" happened.
Carl Cameron begins his reply "The Democrats would have us believe this is all about nothing...."
Comment: His "they/us" attitude is totally unacceptable in the world of real journalism. He has unwittingly identified himself as the opposition and not an objective observer/reporter. Coupled with the damning footage from Robert Greenwald's Outfoxed, in which Carl Cameron revealed that his wife worked on GWBush's 2000 campaign while he glowingly covered Bush on the trail, it is evident that Carl Cameron is a Republican partisan and should be removed from coverage of the 2004 elections. That is, if Fox really wants to be "fair" and avoid even the appearance of conflict.
