So where's the Donald?

Reported by Chrish - July 9, 2004 -

Shepard Smith teased us in Studio B (July 9, 3:13 EDT) that Donald Trump "blasted" Bush's handling of the disaster in Iraq, and we were to be treated to the Donald's views on OBL and other current topics.

Alas, we never got to hear anything from Mr. Trump. Well, maybe as a fluff filler piece, it got cut at the last minute to allow more time for live coverage of Bush in SmokeTown PA.
Intriqued by the teaser, I checked the Fox website but found nothing resembling a story on Trump. I Googled "Trump blasts Bush" and came up with this website
here .
Turns out Trump was on the Howard Stern show in April and essentially said invading Iraq was a big mistake and he probably would not vote for Bush this November. Hm.

Comment: I am honestly puzzled by this. Why did he bring it up at all, as it is negative towards Bush, and why bring it up now, almost 3 months later? Could tying Donald Trump to Bush-bashing (and the reviled Howard Stern, if Fox-viewers followed up, which I truly doubt) turn Bush loyalists against Donald, and by extension, his huge hit TV show "The Apprentice"? Could said show be eating into Thursday night's Hannity and Colmes audience? Pure speculation, but hey, I don't claim to be a journalist.
