Fox is the White House's Fave

Reported by Melanie - July 9, 2004 -

At 1:13 p.m. ET today (July 9, 2004) on Dayside w/Linda Vester, Vester introduced White House spokesman Dan Bartlett to talk about the report released today by the Senate Intelligence Committee entitled "Senate Panel Report on Iraq Intelligence."

In introducing Bartlett, Vester said: The White House is now beginning to respond and they are first talking to Dayside."

COMMENT: I've long thought that Fox gets preferential treatment from the White House. For example, one of their anchors, Rita Cosby, recently became the first reporter allowed inside the prisons at Guantanamo Bay, Dick Cheney appeared live on Your World w/ Neil Cavuto two or three weeks ago to talk about using the "F" word, and on April 29, 2004, Dick Cheney said:

For example, I end up spending a lot of time watching Fox News, because they're more accurate in my experience, in those events that I'm personally involved in, than many of the other outlets."

The complete comment Cheney made about Fox News on April 29, 2004 is here.
