What Can Ya' Say?

Reported by Melanie - July 7, 2004 -

At 4:15 p.m. ET on Your World w/Neil Cavuto today (July 7, 2004) the show was interrupted to bring news of charges been brought against Enron's Ken Lay. Therefore, an interview with Grover Norquist, which began at 4:17 p.m. ET, was evidently shorter than planned.

Norquist was on to discuss (what else) Kerry and Edwards and the evils of Democrats. Even though the segment only lasted about ninety seconds, Norquist had some real pearls of wisdom:

The Democrats don't know what they're doing when it comes to the economy; the economy under Clinton was floundering while Democrats had control of the House and Senate. It was only after Republicans took control of both the House and Senate in the middle of Clinton's term that things got better.

He said "when Kerry, Edwards and Kennedy" play the politics of class hate, they want to tax the rich, which means "looting the small business down the street." He said they oppose free trade and they "want to hand everything over to the trial lawyers."
