An incomplete report

Reported by Chrish - July 7, 2004 -

Shepard Smith told us on FNL July 6 that the US Coast Guard had withdrawn its report about the number of foreign-flagged incoming ships denied entry to US ports.

At 3:35 EDT the incorrect figures - 42 denied entrance and 38 detained - were repeated, reassuring the viewer that the Homeland Security moneypit is really doing something to make us safer. The new figures, which he knew were to be adjusted downward, were not available but promised on The Fox Report at 7pm. Be sure to tune in in 3 1/2 hours and we'll finish giving you the story!

Comment: An incomplete story where he gets to mention Homeland Security, detentions, and protecting our ports is better than nothing!
