Winning Their Hearts and Minds

Reported by Marie Therese - July 6, 2004 -

Big Story with John Gibson. July 5, 2004. 5:21 PM EDT. David Asman, host.

Greg Palkot reported from Baghdad that at 7:15 PM local time the Americans used "four 500-lb. and two 1,000-lb. precision weapons" to destroy a suspected safe house in the town of Fallujah. FOX videoclips showed a huge hole in the ground filled with rubble and sand and Iraqis looking for bodies.

Palkot continued: "There could be ten casualties there - a big, big strike."

It took 4,000 pounds of explosives to kill 10 people.

That's an average of 400 pounds per person.

And we wonder why the Iraqis despise us?
