Media Attention Will Win the Election?

Reported by Eleanor - July 6, 2004 -

Fox's Brit Hume and guests (July 6, 6:43 p.m. ET) made some observations about the election with their John Edwards talking points for the day. Charles Krauthammer stated what they all wholeheartedly believe when he said, "Media attention will win the election."

Mort Kondrache repeated again the Fox conclusion that "Edwards was Kerry's second choice, and McCain was first choice." Hume replied, "McCain denied it came to that." Undaunted, Kondrache said the choice went something like, "Don't make me ask you because you'll have to say no." (The first choice illusion must continue even if Kerry didn't ask McCain to be his VP.) Hume continued with an assessment of Edwards in the form of a question. (One of Fox's favorite methods to get their point across without taking responsibility): Does Edwards lack experience? Is he a rookie - not ready? Do Americans believe in two Americas? Kondrache said, "No, not the masses and the very rich. That's baloney!" Continuing, "trial lawyers add to the cost of your insurance with their law suits."

Comment: The bottom line was expressed by Krauthammer with the comment that media attention will win the election. These people honestly believe they have the power to make the election go any way they wish with their commentary and their phony polls. They don't realize that voters are waking up to this manipulation by the media that is masquerading as "news." What they're doing is so obvious and so blatant, anyone with an open mind will notice it. They haven't won yet.
