Fear, Fear and More Fear

Today, on Your World w/Neil Cavuto (July 5, 2004), at 4:03 p.m. ET, Cavuto introduced Jonathan Hunt who told us about all the money being spent on providing security for Boston and NYC during the coming political conventions, and all there is to do and to worry about.
Included in Cavuto's fear mongering introduction of Hunt was this: We've been "bracing for an attack this weekend. That did not happen. Yet."
After Hunt's report Cavuto went directly to a discussion with NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.
COMMENT: Aside from a quick report from Baghdad at the top of the program by Greg Palkot, five of the first eight minutes of this show were about terrorism, what to watch for, "10,000 police" posted around NYC, miles of roads blocked off in Boston, sniffer dogs, "suspicious characters," and the "cost of freedom." This booster shot of fear finally ended at 4:08 p.m. ET
