Not The UN

Molly Henninger reported that nine members of Congress, headed by Eddie Bernard Johnson D. Texas,asked the United Nations to monitor the 2004 elections in November. Johnson is concerned that the same problems seen in 2000 will happen again without help from the UN. ( 7/03/04 Fox Report 7:32 PM ET)
Molly Henninger, using a distinct tone of disbelief brought up the oil for food scandal and described possible UN monitoring as, "20,000 foreigners watching us vote."
A UN spokesman said that this is not likely to happen unless a request is made by the executive branch.
Can't see that happening anytime soon. Thank You, Congressman Jackson for your foresight and your guts.
