International Media Wars
Reported by Eleanor - July 1, 2004 -
On The O'Reilly Factor (July 1, 8:50 p.m. ET), John Gibson told O'Reilly that the British government is "mad at him."
It seems that the BBC accused Gibson of lying about the Kelly suicide. The British government became involved because the BBC is supported by the government and British journalists cannot express opinions. Unlike America, they just report the news. O'Reilly and Gibson agreed that the BBC used to be the best news in the world, but now it has become "anti-American" (Because it's anti-Bush). Now the BBC has censored John Gibson.
O'Reilly then bragged about selling 30,000 Boycott France stickers to express his disdain for France.
Comment: So being anti-France or anti-Britain is OK? It's a matter of perspective, I guess, but an awful way to convince those countries to become pro-American.
