Desperation Left or Right?
Reported by Eleanor - July 1, 2004 -
O'Reilly railed against the "far left" to start his show tonight (July 1, 8:00 p.m. ET). Choice tidbits from O'Reilly's "Far Left Desperation" speech started with "the far left is tearing the country down."
Further quoting O'Reilly: "The left slimes anyone with whom they disagree. Richard Clarke says that Michael Moore's film is nonsense, and he distances himself from the far left. The NY Times is losing circulation. Left wing radio networks can't get off the ground. PBS is in trouble with some liberal pundits eliminated. Some have absolutely lied on The Factor and been eliminated. This may spread to the moderate left. The democrats are damaged by the far left bomb throwers. Michael Moore won't come on the Spin Zone because that's no place he wants to be."
Comment: This diatribe against the far left must mean that the left is becoming more visible, politically viable and hitting a major right-wing nerve. O'Reilly cannot tolerate the fact that being on The Factor is not the ultimate dream of far lefties, and that Michael Moore will continue to boycott Bill's show because he can. O'Reilly needs Moore a lot more than Moore needs O'Reilly.
