Coulter Freezed Out by Colmes

Alan Colmes and Ollie North , discussed
Saddam's trial tonight with Ann Coulter,
cheerleader for the right, and Michael
Gross,civil rights lawyer, Colmes found
a new debate strategy with Coulter,
he ignored her.(7/01/04 9PM ET)
As soon as the segment started, Coulter
got in one of her nasty barbs.
" The lawyers who defended O.J. and Clinton are going
over for Saddam. Judge Ito will preside over the
courtroom.Where is John Kerry and Hillary Clinton?
Why won't they tell us their position?"
This statement had nothing to do with the conversation.
It seemed like a well rehearsed little speech from her
palm pilot list of talking points and witty quips.
Coulter sat quietly watching Oliver North badger
Michael Gross. The minutes ticked by but she
contained herself until 9:15.
" Alan, are you involved in this show? Are you
ever going to ask me a question? I'm falling
asleep.!"
Colmes relented, allowing Coulter to make the
point, she had been choking on.
" The left is in defense of Saddam Hussein who
calls Bush a war criminal. He will be making
Michael Moore's point. We should be showing
Fahrenheit 9/11 in the courtroom."
Comment: Making the Saddam/Moore connection
has been a Fox theme throughout the day. Another
favorite was insinuating that liberals are pro-Saddam
and don't want to see him punished. Any time an
unfair and unsubstaniated accusation must be made,
Fox brings out Coulter, who will do anything for attention.
