Tit for Tat

Reported by Judy - June 30, 2004 -

General Wesley Clark put Fox News Live anchor Jon Scott in his place on June 30 when Scott tried an under-handed effort to tilt the interview in favor of George Bush's administration.

In the interview segment beginning at 9:16 a.m. EDT, Clark discussed the many problems remaining in the Middle East and suggested that the region is not any better off now, even though Saddam is gone. (Heresy when Howard Dean said that, remember?)

Scott responded: "To be fair, you have to say that a lot of those problems were in existence before this administration."

Clark resisted the temptation to agree and said instead, "To be fair, you have to say the war with Iraq really brought a lot of these problems to a head."

Good Job!
