Soros re "war on terror"

George Soros is one of Fox's favorite targets ...
... accused of everything from the classic "being unpatriotic" & "not supporting our troops", to the only slightly more inventive "trying to subvert our system". To get a better feel for where Soros really stands, here's an opinion piece he wrote for OpenDemocracy

By launching a "war on terror" after 11 September 2001, America made a tragic mistake, says George Soros. The country must now learn a different lesson: fighting terror by creating more innocent victims perpetuates the cycle of violence, creates a permanent state of war, and corrodes the open society that wages it.
