Iraq Now Sovereign?

Today on Dayside, a show filled with cheering that the Bush administration handed over sovereignty in Iraq "two days early," the careful listener would have heard a sentence belying this news:
At 1:28 p.m. Linda Vester, heading into a break, said: "There are strong signs they'll have to impose martial law. We'll go live to the Pentagon" to see what's going on, coming up.
COMMENT: If sovereignty's been turned over, why are we going to go to the Pentagon to talk about this?
