All This in Six Minutes

Reported by Melanie - June 23, 2004 -

Early in the hour today on Your World with Neil Cavuto, Cavuto interviewed Laurie Mylroie, Ph.D., from the American Enterprise Institute. Ms. Mylorie, whom CNN's sometime-terror analyst Peter Bergen called "The neocons favorite conspiracy theorist" in a December, 2003 article in the Washington Monthly, was on to argue that there's a clear connection between Saddam Hussein and 9-11.

During the course of the discussion, Mr. Cavuto steered the conversation such that he and Ms. Mylorie managed to weave a picture of a Saddam connection not only to 9-11, but to the truck bomb attack on the World Trade Center in the early 90's; discuss how "some in the media" aren't covering the links between Saddam and 9-11; and put forth the idea that this "in some very major way is his [Clinton's] responsibility."

COMMENT: The GOP, the Bush administration and the neocons certainly must be proud that their "front office" (Fox News) covers the big points of the day in such an efficient way. You can spew forth a lot of propaganda when you're a 24 hour news station and you run this tight a ship.
